Removable braces
Removable braces are often used to influence, to a certain degree, the upper and lower jaw growth of children and adolescents. These braces usually consist of a plastic plate and metal elements such as clasps that hold the braces together and springs that move the teeth. Using removable braces as the first phase of treatment makes the subsequent treatment with fixed braces simpler and shorter. Removable braces offer an advantage when it comes to oral hygiene but can also have disadvantages if not worn correctly.
